IWRAW Asia Pacific at CSW69

The 69th Commission on the Status of Women will take place from 10 - 21 March 2025 at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. CSW69 marks a crucial session in the midst of challenging times for our movement: a review of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action 30 years since its adoption -  during which we are witnessing anti-gender extremisms at the policy, multilateral and governmental levels, massive cuts to funding for human rights, multiple ongoing genocides, and a growing fracture in our movements.

Unified transnational and cross-movement progressive rights-based agendas, strategies, concrete actions, and solidarity are now needed more than ever. Its in this spirit of feminist resistance that IWRAW Asia Pacific navigates the complexities of CSW69 on hostile grounds.
